Finial Product Information

This copper Flamingo Sphere Finial purchase includes the copper finial and mounting rod. The finial is made in the USA from 24-gauge roofing copper, each piece is hammered and bent to form a unique piece of masterful copper finial art that will last for years to come on rooftop home, garage, barn out outbuilding.

This Finial is designed to fit our cupolas, the finial comes with a finial rod that will slide through a ¾” hole in the top of our cupola. The rod will stop at the ring on the rod – place some caulking on the finial rod then put the finial on top of the rod – when the caulking is dry the finial will be soundly tight and not move.

Please note: Mounting Rod is not needed on Finials that have a skirt since holes can be drilled at the job location and screws can be used. The finial roofing copper is strong enough to take the heavy winds that mother nature can send its way as long as bolted down to the cupola top or roof.

Each of our Copper Finials are made with or without skirts so they can be used for turrets on the roof or cut the base of the finial and mount them just like a cupola to the roof. This way the finial will look great right on the run of the roofline ridge.

Our copper finial is made here in Eddington Maine using 16oz copper/ 24 gauge. The finial is copper and will turn brown, black and then a green patina over time. If you choose to keep the finial shiny, you can always apply a clear coat of exterior poly urethane over the final figure to keep it from changing. Our main Weathervane Retail Shop is located in Trenton Maine on route 3 headed towards Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Made in the Maine.
