Raccoon Weathervanes

Hello Weathervane Fans, cold here in Maine today and we have 3-5 inches of snow coming in tonight so I thought I would give a shout out to all you folks in the warmer climates. We have been lucky so far this winter and it has been nice and warm this year, but now I am thinking it is going to get cold because the weather guy has been using the F word a lot on the radio. Now we try to avoid the F word here because it brings bad luck, but the Weather Guy said Frigid at least three times on the Radio this morning so I am thinking that our holiday is over, - gone away and our Climate Change is going to be blowing in the Wind tomorrow. So, blowing in the wind makes me think of great Weathervanes and here we go.

We have been working on a new Raccoon Weathervane which my youngest daughter designed (very proud dad here) and I am starting to be please with the outcome – still must tweak it a bit to make me happy but it is coming around. She also got wild and did the Flamingo Weathervane too and it should be done soon. The molding company has the flamingo now and we are just in the waiting mode.

My eldest daughter not to be outdone has been working on a horse and buggy weathervane which is also at the molding company and should be back the same time we get the flamingo completed. Now we have been talking a lot about dog weathervanes and my eldest did the West Highland Terrier Weathervane too and it is coming along great but has not yet moved on to the molding company. She had to go back to school and it also needs to be tweaked a bit when we get the chance, but this is going to be a cool Westie Dog Weathervane.

We are working on other ideas still and have a new banner weathervane coming up on the website soon and it was requested by an old repeat customer of ours and it came out good. You will see it on the banners when we get it on the site.

We are also working rewriting our instruction sheets, we have been using the same instruction sheets for 30 years and it is time to tweak the old drawings a bit and get them up to standards.

Shannon our new phone girl is doing great on the phones but still learning – please know that I am around but she is taking over most of the phone calls now and we are very pleased at how well this young lady is kicking it on learning the Weathervanes and Cupola Questions that come her way.

Also, we do have a surprise weathervane at the molding company that my eldest daughter did – I am very pleased, but I want to make sure that it came out great before revealing to much. Sometimes we get excited about a new design and when it is finally done – it was not what we hoped. So, with this thought, I will just say that we have a new ____ Weathervane Design do to be completed at the molding company soon and I am thinking everyone is going to be very pleased!

Anyway, I am all chitty, chat, chat tonight – just a great week and all is well here in Maine. So, remember – Weathervanes and Fun Things!
